Raven Software program’s Jedi Academy is the most recent and most beloved part of the Jedi Knight series. Among them are treasures like Celebrity Wars: Rogue Squadron on the N64, the classic Celebrity Wars: Battlefront II, and the Jedi Knight collection. If you want to play base mp or JA+ I would recommend getting EternalJK as it modifies the game so that you can see servers, have full widescreen, and easily bind keys for certain moves that are technically in the base game but hard to access, such as low-jump.The amount of Star Wars-themed video games is incredible, however, only a few are remembered as really terrific titles. For sabers there's too much blocking, and I prefer playing without guns or force powers (apart from jump ofc) so I stick to the base servers and JA+ servers which generally restrict those things. That would have to be LAN though unless you bought and hosted your own server.Īs for mp I'm personally not that interested in Movie Battles. I really enjoy it, after a while it's a bit boring unless you maybe play it with people. If you wanna create your own scenarios in sp there's 2 related mods called KotF and Galactic Legacy which give you a billion maps and npcs to fuck around with.

The story itself is nothing to write home about but all you really need is an excuse to kill some baddies anyway. It adds in many new levels, enemies and sabers. It adds a whole new storymode, probably longer than the game's original. If you want singleplayer mods, I'd highly recommend Escape from Yavin IV.

RESPECT THE BASE GAME and it's authenticity. Play MB2 or other gameplay mods only after you've finished SP and had a little taste of MP from BASE It's all just timing of blocking and parries and if u wanna feel like ur just whacking at each other with sticks, force jumping is so low, acrobatics is close to non-existent (which they will also defend for having more force energy consumption) when it comes to MB Ngl it's phenomenal what they did, a totally new mechanic on how to play Jedi Academy, still a mod though like MD

MB2 as they say it has a higher "learning curve" or "higher skill ceiling" I'm not convinced by this With exploits from wiggling ur saber to get more damage or getting a more accurate playstyle. And the underlying techniques and tricks from low jumps, cancels and delays. Where you need to be practicing certain moves while relying on spacing, dodging, moving on in a saber to pull of a block or parry (there are situations where u can block while idle), acrobatics and strafing. Where BASE has a higher skill ceiling and it's limitless as the quake engine it's designed from integrates with saber mechanics. Movie Battles 2 is very different from base JKA and pure unmodded quake engine.
